Describe a risk you took that you do not regret.

Well I guess the only real risk I’ve taken it’s running for office. I announced on September 10, 2001. Then everything happened. You just couldn’t run then. Then I drew an opponent and it was on.

I kept it close on his turf. I did well on mine. It was a satisfying result, but it didn’t look that way at the onset.

Anyway, that was twenty years ago. I’ve been re-elected several times. Too much to think about really. It’s been a life. It’s a good life.
